Freedom Marathon
Start/Finish line is located at Main City Park at the "Coho" picnic shelter. The route will begin by running upto the Springwater Corridor Trail. Runners will then head west on the Springwater Trail until they come to the turn around at mile 6.55. From there runners will head east on the trail until they get back to Main City park at the "Coho" picinic shelter. At this point runners have completed half of the marathons. Runners will be required to check in with the timers and have their first half split recorded. At this point the runners will head back out to the Springwater Trail and complete the out-and-back for a second time. This will give the 26.22 miles. A map of the route can be found here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4195083

Freedom Half Marathon
Start/Finish line is located at Main City Park at the "Coho" picinic shelter. The route will begin by running upto the Springwater Corridor Trail. Runners will then head west on the Springwater Trail until they come to the turn around at mile 6.55. From there runners will head east on the trail until they get back to Main City park at the "Coho" picinic shelter. This will give the 13.11 miles. A map of the route can be found here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4195080

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a closed course and you will be required to yield to others on the trail and we ask that you not run more then two abreast. Also there are six street crossings on each half of the out-and-back section. Please be careful and obey the rules of the road and wait for a walk signal when needed. This is NOT a Boston Qulifying course and is designed to be a fun run and safety is our number one prioirty, so please be careful and cautious.

Each out-and-back (13.11 miles) will have six aid stations. Three on the out portion and three on the back portion. Additionally the marathon will have an aid station at the start/finish area before heading out for the second half. Each aid station will have water and a Gatorade. There should be volunteers at each aid station, but there is a chance these could be self serve aid stations and unmanned.

Marathon: 2.2, 4.5, 6.2, 6.9, 8.6, 10.9, 13.1, 15.3, 17.7, 19.4, 20.0, 21.7, 24.1
Half Marathon: 2.2, 4.5, 6.2, 6.9, 8.6, 10.9

This event will not be chip timed and volunteers will be writing down times of each runner as they finish. Since this is a small event (about 150 runners), there is no need for chip timing. This is not a Boston Qualifying event and runners should see this as a fun run.

All finishers will recieve a finisher's medal. There will also be additional awards to the top male and female finishers in the marathon and half marathon.

There should be plenty of parking at Main City Park. The address for Main City Park is 101 S Main Ave, Gresham, Oregon. Main City Park is located 15.5 miles from downtown Portland (about a 30 minute drive). If coming from Portland take I-84 to I-205, take exit 19 (Division St), then turn right on SE 112th Ave and left on SE Powell Blvd then turn right on S Main Ave. Click Here for directions.
